sugarSCOUT philosophy

sugarSCOUT is a laboratory of learning, finding, making & sharing.

We built sugarSCOUT to foster the best in who we are and what we love to do, together as friends.

The learning:  we both love to learn.  Learning makes you stronger, more aware & more capable of living the life you want.  It is as much an exercise in growth as it is a humbling human journey.

The finding:  is part green and part good.  We loved scouting before we called is as such, but the benefits of taking what is old and making it new or different, are two fold.  In a world where we have long learned to toss aside what is old for something that is perceptibly better, we couldn’t agree less.  In so many cases, the vintage we find IS better than their new counterparts and does have more life left or a different life ahead.  Like buried treasure, fossils & gemstones the same…….the hunt truly is as sweet as the find.

The making:     is as good for the brain as it is for the soul.  Problem solving and executing, we have found, seems to bringabout the best in us.  Whether it be the selection of paint or the non-conforming use of a tool, it just feels good to “make.”

The sharing:  a good find or a great idea…….with each other or with you……..is equally as sweet.  From blogs around the world, we have learned a wealth of information, lent an ear to a cause, or left the page with inspiration to go forth and to give back.
