Hi ~ Thanks for stopping by sugarSCOUT. We didn’t actually do this project, it was featured from another blog. Our best guess is that strong “l brackets” were used on the underside.
I found this and I liked it a lot this is what i was looking for.I have a couple of ladders but didn’t know what to do them until now. One question though, I know you said some kind of bracket was used to hold up the ladder but what kind?just a thought . Thank you again and check out my blog Aldainc.tumblr.com

I have hung a ladder in my guest room and I used L brackets.My ladder has nick nacks on it and is a very old apple ladder.
